We believe God has called us as missionaries to El Salvador to help people of all ages. It is our hope that His presence is seen through the work of those who serve with us.

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer assistance to the people of El Salvador, to help them to be able to develop and cope with new abilities and strengths, and restore the integrity of the family.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to be an association who serves the people of El Salvador with social sensitivity and Christian principles, willing to provide quality assistance to those in need. By meeting medical, nutritional, social and psychological needs, we hope to empower individuals, improve their quality of life and strengthen the family.

Association Overview

We have many programs for helping those who are hurting.  From serving in prison ministries to orphanages, nursing homes and churches, Abigail Association works best when recognizing a need then meeting that need. We are constantly looking for ways to help others and make a difference in their lives, not only presently, but for eternity!

We began with a Crisis Center in an extremely poor part of the country where the women received food, medical exams, clothing, legal and spiritual counseling as well as Bible studies.  From there, we expanded our reach, evolving into an organization dedicated to treating the person as a whole as well as the whole family. In our two clinics, we offer medical and dental care as well as counseling and laboratory work.

We also operate feeding programs, most of which are located in Cabanas, which is in the northern, remote part of El Salvador.  When you are there, you feel as if you have stepped back 75-100 years in time.  Very few have electricity and many live in shacks.  The children go to school half a day and the government provides 2 school uniforms, but no other assistance, such as food or medicines.  We are currently feeding 300 children in 6 different areas every day.  Mothers from each area work together to cook the meals for the children, taking turns throughout the week day feedings.  Additionally, we are teaching Bible classes to the children and mothers, as well as hygiene and personal care classes.  Most of the adults in these areas cannot read or write, so basic education is important.

In 2021 we introduced a mobile clinic that allows us to expand our reach into remote villages where medical care is needed but not often found.

We are continuing to expand our reach here in El Salvador, trying to meet needs wherever and whenever we can. Learn more about our programs on our Ministries Page.
